A Nintendo Theme Park is Being Made and it Looks Like it’s Going to be Incredible

There is something about the wonderful world of theme parks that can bring out the inner child in all of us.

Unless, of course, you are still a child, in which case theme parks are basically the biggest and most incredible playgrounds imaginable.

For the rest of us though, who trudge through life negotiating tax returns and train strikes with a kind of resigned bewilderment, a visit to a theme park represents the chance to let our hair down, giggle and skip merrily down the perfectly cobbled pavements to some wondrous ride or another. Gaily abandoning the woes of our 9-5 life, we can lose ourselves in imagined worlds, scream our way through roller coaster rides and gorge on candy floss and those strange ham legs they all seem to serve. Bliss.

It was only last year that I finally visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal, and I was as giddy as a kid hopped up on sweets, running from ride to souvenir stand with a manic smile plastered all over my face. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been a monumental success, not least because it combines two passions of a vast number of people; Harry Potter and theme parks.

Perhaps following in a similar mould, Universal Studios Japan are constructing a Nintendo theme park in Osaka, and if the build photos are anything to go by, it is going to be absolutely stunning.
