We are all guilty of telling a lie. Whether it be fairly innocent white lie to protect someone’s feelings, or a rather calculated one you’ve conjured up to protect yourself. Then we either get caught, or have to elaborate on the original lie to keep it up.
One person that knows this only too well is 21-year-old Lauren Adderley, who pretended to be a police officer for two years in order to control her ex-boyfriend, Mitchell Lloyd. The details of her reign of terror are enough to scare you off dating for life…
Adderley used a “sophisticated catfish style behaviour” to trap her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend into believing that he was part of a police investigation. Adderley, from Shropshire, England, pretended to be various officers when contacting Mitchell, threatening him with legal action if he failed to comply to her strict rules. Not only that, but she also posed as her friends via fake Facebook accounts, which she used to contact Mitchell to guilt him for hanging out with other girls. But, it gets worse…
