14 Jun Nutella Have Finally Responded to the Viral Picture of What Goes into One Jar

Whisper it quietly, but Nutella isn’t exactly the solution to all of our problems, no matter how much of it we spread and slather all over our toast, our pancakes and sometimes even our fingers. Made from hazelnuts as well as cocoa powder, we convinced ourselves for a while that Nutella was as healthy as it was delicious, but soon, those hopes were dashed when it emerged exactly what goes into a jar of Nutella.

As you can see above, Nutella is made less from the Ambrosia of the gods, and more from the milk, sugar and skim milk that make up most of our chocolate treats. More controversial, however, is the use of palm oil in Nutella; in many studies, components of palm oil have been linked to the spread of cancer. Now, though, the company behind Nutella have addressed the viral photo, and released a statement that is sure to generate discussion.
