These Celebrities Are Bringing Back Fanny Packs, Much to the World’s Disapproval

If you’ve spent any time on the internet, then you’ll be familiar with the concept of 90s nostalgia. From the Nintendo 64 to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, you’re sure to find plenty of people online with fond memories of anything and everything more than 20 years old, who will gladly clamour to bring back those precious relics of the past.

However, I find that in the teary-eyed memories of years gone by, people tend to overestimate how much they really enjoyed certain products or films from the 90s. For example, watching the Looney Tunes movie Space Jam in the present day is a pretty excruciating exercise, and 007: Goldeneye is nigh-impossible to play on the N64 in the era of ergonomic video game controllers. Oh, and the fashion? Don’t get me started on the fashion.

With the ugly, brightly-coloured shirts as well as the hideous overalls, the 90s were a time where nearly nobody looked good, but in my opinion, the worst offence of the decade was the fanny pack. A small pouch of sorts that was attached to your waist, a fanny pack was a great way to hold all of your most important possessions, with the exception of your dignity. I was quite glad to see the back of them, but now, some celebrities are attempting to bring back the bizarre waist pouch, and I’m not quite sure what to think.
