13 Jun Conor McGregor Has Sent His Biggest Burn To Floyd Mayweather Yet
For the entirety of the year, fight fans across the world have been slowly getting more and more excited about a potential fight of the decade. If you’re familiar with the UFC, you’ll know all about Conor McGregor and his rise to the top of the lightweight and featherweight categories, while boxing aficionados will be well aware of Floyd Mayweather Jr and his 49-0 unbeaten record.
What would happen, however, if you put two of the biggest names in combative sport at the moment in the same ring?
That’s the super fight being teased by both the Mayweather and McGregor camps. Shortly after defeating Eddie Alvarez in November, the MMA fighter acquired a professional boxing license from the state of California, and since then, rumours have been rife that McGregor is going to make the switch to boxing, and take on Mayweather.
Although there has been no official announcement as of yet, reports have emerged about negotiations over fight purses for the respective prospective combatants.
It may still be some time before we see Mayweather battle it out with McGregor in the ring, but that hasn’t stopped the pair from trading verbal blows in the meantime. Now, after a short hiatus, Conor McGregor has returned to social media, and he has thrown some serious shade at Floyd Mayweather Jr with his latest Twitter post.
