29 Aug Student Fights Back After Teacher Shames Her For Not Wearing A Bra

Bras are an unfortunate part of life for the fairer sex. Don’t get me wrong, I’m the first to admit it’s nice to slide into something lacey and sexy, but, generally speaking, they are uncomfortable and get in the way – especially when it’s hot. In the summer, I don’t even call them bras. They’re “boob jails” as far as I’m concerned.

What’s more is that women are expected to wear bras at all times. God forbid a woman dares to show the outline of her nipples, even if they are concealed beneath a top. But when Beaumont High School student Remy Altuna decided to forgo her bra for the sake of comfort, she never expected the school’s administrator to react the way they did.

Beaumont High School is in Southern California, and, as we all know, it’s an area famed for its warm, humid weather so it made sense that Remy wanted to be comfortable at school. After all, if she was cool and didn’t feel constricted by what she was wearing, she’d be able to concentrate better on her lessons.

Remy is pictured above in the top she wore without a bra. The school’s dress policy dictates that students must “must cover all parts of undergarments and shall not be low cut or revealing.” Remy had wanted to wear this black top, but knew that she’d have to forgo a bra because of its low cut design at the back…
