23 Aug Brother Epicly Trolls Sisters Phone Thief And Things Swiftly Escalated
There are few things worse than having something important stolen. In June of this year, my purse was pickpocketed. The thief in question wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box, and I immediately knew it was him. I confronted him about it, telling him that I really needed my purse back because my passport was inside it.
He denied the crime, and I took a picture of him. He tried to cover his face, but it was obvious who he was. He’s now enjoying a lengthy prison stay. It turns out that I was one of his many victims. When he eventually gets out of jail, he’ll now think twice about robbing someone with a Scottish accent. We take no prisoners.
Pickpockets, generally speaking, aren’t the smartest people in the world. Maybe that’s why they’ve resorted to a life of crime. This thief got the shock of his life when he picked the wrong girl to rob this summer. After stealing her iPhone and ID cards, he had the audacity to text her brother asking for her iPhone’s passcode.
The dramatic exchange between the girl’s brother and the thief was posted on the photo sharing website Imgur in August 2017, and it instantly went viral.
‘‘My little sister who is going to be a senior worked hard all summer to buy an iPhone, only to have it stolen (or fall out, she is still not entirely sure) out of her boyfriend’s car a week ago,” her brother wrote. ”She had not activated the find my iPhone app so we reported it stolen but [we] were pretty sure someone [had just been] gifted a free iPhone courtesy of my sister’s summer wages. On top of that, she had also bought a wallet case and lost all her ID’s and cards as well.’
Yesterday I [got] this text from a strange number. I [gave] my sister a quick call to make sure it [was] not her and effectively [realized that] someone [was] fishing through her contacts or documents to get her password.”
So, like any true legend, her brother began to troll the brazen thief like no iPhone thief has ever been trolled before.
The girl’s brother began his text exchange with the thief by feigning helpfulness. He lulled them into a false sense of security before fabricating an elaborate story…
Now, I don’t know about you, but if I was the thief, I’d have thought to myself, Wow, it looks like I’ve stolen a phone from someone who’s a murderer. Better bail. But nope…
This story now had a villain. The mysterious boss who, by the sound of these texts, would be extremely upset if he discovered that the iPhone’s password had been forgotten…
It took the thief a while, but he‘d finally cottoned onto the fact that he wasn’t texting your Average Joe. However, the girl’s brother stuck with his storyline, hoping to have as much fun with the thief as possible. He deserved to get frightened. Karma was just giving him his just deserts for stealing the phone.
