16 Aug Artist Gives Terrifying Portrayal Of How Our Pop Culture Icons Would Look In Real Life
We all have our favorite cartoon characters and fictional icons, whether we know them from television, myths and legends or fairy tales books. They’re some of the best-loved and celebrated figures from film, TV and literature! But have you ever wondered what they would look like in real life? Would they look pretty much exactly like their cartoon counterparts? Would they look better in real life, or, god forbid, worse?
Well wonder no more! Australian digital artist Wil Hughes has single-handedly given us an insight into what these icons would really look like if you were to spot them walking down the street. Hughes has a degree in animation from Griffith University in Brisbane, and he had been looking for a cool new project to share with the world, and so without further ado, here it is…
1. Here’s everyone’s favorite “family guy”! Hughes even kept Peter Griffin’s butt chin!
2. The real-life version of the laughing internet troll really encapsulates just how unattractive those basement-dwelling keyboard warriors really are…
3. We know Pepe the frog from the popular meme, and surprise surprise he looks just as miserable in real life…
4. Monsters, Inc.’s “Googly Bear” looked pretty harmless when he was a mere animation, but now…
5. Krusty the clown is the chain-smoking children’s entertainer in The Simpsons, and in real life, he looks even more depressed than his cartoon counterpart…
Guess which Spongebob Squarepants characters Hughes included in his impressive portfolio. (And brace yourself when you scroll down to SpongeBob…)
