In 2008, Boy George made a request for a US work visa so that he could perform there as part of his US tour. However, the visa request was subsequently denied because he was in the middle of a trial in the UK, in connection with an incident in 2007. The decision to bar him from entry meant that he had to cancel all thirty of the tour dates, disappointing a lot of his American fans, and resulting on him missing a major payday!
