Taylor Swift Surprised Her Groping Trial By Giving A Brilliantly Funny Testimony

Taylor Swift has been hitting the headlines this week for reasons other than her music. The Shake it Off singer ditched the recording studio in order to appear in court and testify about an incident in 2013, where she was allegedly groped by a former radio DJ.

Swift claimed that Colorado disk jockey, David Mueller, put his hand up her skirt and grabbed her butt while they posed for a photograph during a meet-and-greet in Denver on June 2 2013.

In 2015, Mr Mueller sued the 27-year-old on grounds of defamation, saying that her account had led to his dismissal from KYGO, a Denver based radio station, and had subsequently impacted his career in the music industry. Swift countersued, asserting that she was a victim of assault and battery.

The civil trial finally began on Thursday, and it saw the pop-star stand her ground on the subject, issuing a spirited and surprisingly humorous testimony.
