03 Aug Eminem Is Stepping Back Into The Movie Business, And Fans Are Getting Excited
Despite having a CV in rap that can rival pretty much anyone in the industry, Eminem has a somewhat bizarre relationship with the silver screen.
Of course, his 2002 film 8-Mile was critically and commercially successful (and gave us probably his best song in the Oscar-winning Lose Yourself), but on the other hand, I remember Eminem most fondly for casually announcing he was gay in the Interview, or for loudly yelling expletives at Ray Romano in 2009’s Funny People.
Quite. From his various cameos in films as well as his cheekily offensive lyrics, it’s clear that Eminem has a bit of a sense of humour, and if you’re a fan of that, then you might be very excited to hear that Slim Shady is making his return to the world of cinema. It’s all about a subject Marshall Mathers knows about more than most in rap, but maybe not in the way that you’re expecting.
