Working in any customer-facing job can be extremely difficult. While some may find they have a calling to work with customers each day, helping strangers have a smooth, pleasant experience during their interaction, it is nevertheless a rough gig. Many can have stressful weeks, and if everything isn’t perfect with their meal, or if they take too long to get served at the bar, they can take out that boiling rage out on the innocent person on the other side.

These kind of jobs apply a lot of pressure on employees as it is, so the last thing you want is someone being rude to you or otherwise disrupting your work under the guise of “the customer is always right”.

It must be even more difficult when you are an especially attractive receptionist, bartender, or waiter.

While it may be good for tips, you’re going to be spending a lot of your day putting on a smile for leery customers who think they are the first person to compliment your looks incessantly – or worse. But this kind of behaviour took a strange turn for one Texan waiter this week, as a normal Friday shift became anything but.
