31 Jul This Is The World’s Most Handsome Man, According To Science
The world’s most handsome man has been named this week, and I’m not going to lie, the result won’t surprise you in the slightest. The big reveal comes after a list of famous men had their looks put to the test through facial mapping technologies by Harley Street Surgeon, Dr. Julian De Silva.
The technology looks at and measures the eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial structure of a man and compares it with the Greek idea of perfection. Included in the list were the likes of David Beckham, Harry Styles, Bradley Cooper and Brad Pitt… so everyone you would expect, really.
Dr. De Silva claims that, “These brand new computer mapping techniques allows us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful” and that they use “the Golden Ratio” to work out who is the most handsome of them all. The Golden Ratio was a mathematical equation that was devised to be the Greeks attempt to measure the amount of beauty that a person possesses.
The ratio can be applied to anything, and was famously used by Leonardo da Vinci for the perfect human male body in his famous “Vitruvian Man”, however this is the first time we’ve seen it used on contemporary celebrities.
