There is no doubt that being a 911 operator is not a very easy or pleasant job.

Operators must listen to the scared calls of those who are in immediate danger, quickly react to get them the help that they need, and stay on the line to comfort them in the meantime. They need to be trained in handling various types of emergencies, so that they always know the appropriate responses and questions to ask the person on the other end. They’re typically equipped to react to any emergency, but every once in a while they come across a situation that is… unique.

This is why the 911 operator who received a call from an Ohio woman with a “boa constrictor stuck to [her] face” was just a little bit taken aback when trying to respond to the strange emergency situation.

The horrifying audio released of the call reveals a terrified woman whose boa constrictor had grabbed hold of her and bitten her nose, refusing to let go. The woman’s struggle is difficult to listen to, and the 911 responder’s reaction is understandably shaken.
