Kylie Jenner Faces Lawsuit Over New Reality TV Show ‘Life of Kylie’

Fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians have been eagerly anticipating a new spin-off show all summer, this time, revolving around the youngest member of the multi million dollar family, Kylie Jenner.

The show, titled Life of Kylie, appears to be about discovering the “real” Kylie, learning who she is beyond her public image. But alas, what would a Kylie show be with a little drama (before it’s even aired), right?

The television and social media personality is now facing a lawsuit over the artwork used to promote the new show. The plaintiff, British artist Sara Pope, is claiming that one of the images used in the show’s trailer and across social media is a near exact copy of a work she did in 2015 titled “Temptation Neon”. The case has been filed as copyright infringement, and Pope is suing both Kylie and E!, along with parent company NBC Universal.

The allegedly copied image is a neon logo “lip bite”, sporting a similar style to the lip logo that can be found on Kylie’s cosmetic brand. In the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, Pope’s lawyers claimed that the images were used without the artist’s permission, and gave her no credit. While the conclusion of the lawsuit is obviously far away, it is hard to deny that the images do look nearly identical.
