Before And After Lunch Photos From A Fitness Trainer That Will Boost Your Self Esteem

Significant value is placed upon the manner in which we portray ourselves online. We live in a world of glossy, filtered Instagram models uploading pictures of startling effervescence that purport to hold some tenuous link to reality. With sun soaked vistas, chiselled post-workout selfies and bikini clad beach bodies dominating our news feeds, there is scant room available for the everyday and mundane.

Such endeavours would appear to create a kind of emollient pool of celebrity, which serves several purposes in our modern culture. To some a distraction from the trials and tribulations of our own lives, to others a crystallised illustration of just how vapid, vacuous and cosmetic our society has become. The concept of internet fame at once confounds and repels us.

In the finely sieved habitat of Instagram, where photos are edited almost beyond recognition and those who abstain from posting are considered obsolete by their social counterparts it is, perhaps, unsurprising that reality has become an increasingly outmoded concept.

Even outside the confines of our smartphones, you can barely take a step without being confronted by a strangely aggressive sounding advertisement asking – as if it’s any of their business – if you’re beach body ready, or gently suggesting that all things considered, dropping a few pounds might make you more desirable to the opposite sex.

Well, one fitness trainer has decided to redress the balance, and reassure those a little under-confident about their bodies that the Adonis-like physiques displayed on Instagram do not always look quite as buffed and cut as the models would have you believe.
