20 Jul BREAKING: OJ Simpson Granted Parole Following Hearing Over Las Vegas Robbery

OJ Simpson has today been granted parole over the Las Vegas Robbery that saw the former NFL star and world famous celebrity jailed.

Simpson is fast approaching the minimum sentence of nine years for his crime, it has been reported, and the former running back could be released from prison as soon as October 1.

It had been thought that a clean, positive record throughout his time in jail would aid his case for parole, particularly since a previous hearing took into account Simpson’s “positive institutional record”, and this certainly seems to have rung true.

OJ Simpson was arrested in 2007 after an ill-conceived attempt to steal sports memorabilia at gunpoint that, he maintained, belonged to him, reports ABC News.

The news outlet also says that Simpson told parole officers he intends to spend as much time as possible with his children once he is released from jail.
