The United Service Organizations prides itself on supporting the individuals serving in the U.S. army, using a variety of methods to spread awareness of their contribution to the nation, and reminding us all to show our appreciation for all that they do.

That’s where the recent hashtag #Flex4Forces comes from, wherein supporters are asked to post an image of themselves pulling a bicep flex on social media, and tag a friend to request they continue the trend. The organization describes the campaign thusly:

“The campaign underscores the USO’s historic mission to strengthen service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country. It allows the public to demonstrate appreciation and a personal commitment to service members and their families. A strong America is a force for good in the world – so strike your flex and show our service members there is strength in numbers!”

Some celebrities got into the action, as actress Jessica Biel tweeted out a photo of herself flexing, asking others to “Join me and @The_USO as we honor and support our servicemen and women”. And her contribution to the digital campaign nominated none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
