There are few people in the world who are as exposed to unwarranted media attention as the family of celebrities, and the parenting skills of the rich and famous, the great and the good, are often treated to serious, near-obsessive scrutiny. This is particularly troubling when the offspring of the celebrity in question wants none of the exposure or publicity that their parents have earned. After all, when David Beckham, arguably one of the most famous footballers in history, is the patriarch and the matriarch is Posh Spice (née Victoria Adams) the star of one of the most successful pop groups of the 90s, you can expect that people will take an interest.

But lately, the now-retired footballer has found himself in the line of fire, after a picture surfaced of him and his daughter sharing a tender moment – a picture which some media outlets dubbed inappropriate. The controversy stemmed from the fact that Beckham was pictured kissing his young daughter on the lips, and now Beckham himself has addressed the complaints personally in a candid interview.
