Rumer Willis’s name may be the most recognizable among the offspring of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, but her face might not be. It seems every season this famous daughter is sporting a new look and recently she has become completely unrecognizable!

She turned up at the Comedy Central roast of her dad, Bruce Willis, and barely anyone knew who she was upon a first glace. The media has been buzzing ever since with entertainment reporters and fans alike wondering just why the young star looks so different. Clearly, this is more than just a new hair color.

Rumer is best known for her dark brown locks, which had usually been kept short. While she has been in the Hollywood spotlight since she was a baby thanks to her famous parents, Rumer stepped out on her own when she became Miss Golden Globe in 2008.

The same year, she scored a role in the Ana Farris comedy movie, The House Bunny. For the role, she sported blonde locks but went back to her natural dark brown when promoting the film. Her look always seemed to have more of an edgy indie appeal rather than Hollywood glamour.

However, Rumer’s style began to change after a stint on Dancing With the Stars, which she won with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy and subsequently landed her a starring role on Broadway in the musical Chicago. She showed the world that she has some serious dancing skills and can certainly pull off glamorous.

On Dancing With the Stars, Rumer rocked a series of sequined and sparkly outfits. Her hair was sometimes long and luxurious thanks to extensions and her body had completely transformed into a sleek, toned, dancer’s physique. She was the epitome of Hollywood beauty on and off the dancefloor.

Rumer went all the way, winning the dance competition in 2015. She became quite close with her dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, and even got a large tattoo of the pair dancing together on her right bicep.

However, despite no official relationship between the pair ever having been reported, Rumer has since had the tattoo removed. She began the painful procedure after Chmerkovskiy began very publically dating fellow professional dancer Jenna Johnson.

This wasn’t the only hardship Rumer faced. While she may have starred in Broadway’s Chicago also in 2015, the opening night was delayed twice due to Rumer having alleged injuries. While she did eventually get to ‘razzle dazzle’ audiences from onstage, critics’ reviews were mixed about the show and her performance.

However, her look as Roxie Hart certainly dazzled fashion critics. Her hair was once again cut short but this time dyed blonde and styled for the period musical. Offstage, she kept the blonde locks but often wore her hair slicked back.

While she would change her hair once again to black throughout much of 2016 and 2017, experimenting with length and texture, she would return to blonde in 2018 and this time is turning heads.

While it appears she’s had some lip pluming done in the past, it’s unclear if anything else about Rumer has been altered. However, this time around the blonde locks, combined with a great tan, make her look like a drop dead gorgeous bombshell. So what’s her secret?

Well, this isn’t the first time critics have accused Rumer of going under the knife. While she hasn’t confirmed that she has received cosmetic surgery, she has previously been candid about being bullied online for her looks and says that she isn’t opposed to cosmetic procedures.

Rumer explained to Entertainment Tonight: “In Hollywood, I feel like there’s a big stigma about hiding things – but people aren’t stupid. If all of a sudden you jump from being an A cup to like double D’s, people know.”

She continued, “I just think you have to be who you are and own it, and not be ashamed and feel like you have to apologize. If I choose to do something to myself, it’s because I’ve thought about it. And if it’s going to make me feel better, I won’t be ashamed of the choices that I make.”

Rumer is right. If a celebrity is open about their cosmetic alterations, it does seem that the public is more willing to accept the changes. Nobody likes a liar. So, does that mean we should expect a confession from Rumer in the future?

For now, it doesn’t seem like she’s talking. After all, we don’t know that she’s had anything more done than a trip to a great hairdresser and makeup artist. We wish her all the best.
