Let’s face it. Guys are jerks. At least every straight woman I know has been stood up, jerked around, and most have even been cheated on. It seems something happens to young men as they grow up to lead them to believe women are disposable, or at the very least, not worthy of basic human respect.

Somehow we women often seem to be viewed as pieces of furniture that can be dumped at the charity shop when some hot new item turns up on the scene. It doesn’t even matter about quality, just as long as it’s shiny and new.

But, to paraphrase the comedian Hannah Gadsby, there is nothing stronger than a broken woman who has had to rebuild herself. Time’s up, guys, We’re coming for you. So pull those bootstraps up because it’s long overdue that you jerks out there were held to a higher standard.

I’ll admit, it’s hard to see the silver lining and rebuild one’s self in the midst of heartbreak, but female friendship is incredibly powerful, so when one heartbroken woman named Leah got stood up in a foreign city by her long-distance lover, it’s no surprise another woman came to her aid.

Leah had been having a long-distance relationship with a man online. After the pair agreed that she would fly from Texas to Florida on her own to meet up in his hometown, the jerk totally ghosted her, texting a slew of pathetic excuses, and leaving Leah completely alone with nowhere to go in a new city.

So it must have been fate when she called an Uber, which happen to be driven by Twitter user @vickto_willy. If that handle rings a bell that’s because this girl went viral last year for hiding in the trunk of her cheating boyfriend’s car to catch the loser in the act and live-tweeted the whole thing.

Leah was totally in good hands! So when Leah broke down in the car and told @vickto_willy about what had happened, the pair became fast friends and @vickto_willy did what any good female friend would do and took Leah out with her friends for a wild night on the town to forget the jerk who stood her up.

Of course, @vickto_willy live-tweeted the whole thing for all of us to see, and yes, their night out was amazing. First, Leah’s new group of girls offered to beat the crap out of her loser ex, but Leah declined, believing that karma will get the schmuck.

The universe does seem to have a way of punishing those who deserve it. After all, I just heard that my cheating ex has been unemployed for over a year and just moved back in with his parents after running out of money. He’s nearly 37. Yeah, I dodged a bullet there!

And it looks like Leah dodged a bullet, too. After sharing more of her story with her new besties, it turns out that her guy gave the most pathetic excuses on the planet for not meeting up with her. This girl just flew over state lines to meet up an and he couldn’t even be bothered to tell a good lie? Pathetic.

The excuses ranged from not wanting his school sports coach to see his car parked at her hotel to needing to leave because he had to lotion his face! Well, @vickto_willy called the idiot and let him have it, though not before taking Leah out to the club to have an amazing night out!

While Leah did get pretty drunk and got the hurt and betrayal out of her system by stage diving and getting a bit wild, she was totally safe in the hands of her new friends. Women know what it’s like to be jerked around, and when we see one of our own suffering, we know we’ve got to take her under our wing!

Eventually, the night had to come to an end and Leah had to go back to Texas, but while her guy may have turned out to be a totally worthless piece of crap, she found something better in Florida. Leah now has a solid group of girls that totally have her back, and that’s worth way more than any dude.

Seriously, I’m thinking there is either something seriously wrong with this guy or he’s got a girlfriend. I mean, why wouldn’t he want to meet up with Leah? She’s absolutely gorgeous and obviously tons of fun. The very least he could have done was ghost her before she boarded an airplane to meet him.

Guys, you have got to stop being jerks. You never get away with it for long. At least stop leading women on if you have no intention of being with them and never, ever cheat. There is just no excuse for that. Break up with your girlfriend first. No one needs to ever feel that worthless or disposable.
