23 Jul Angelina Jolie’s “Zombie Doppelgänger” Reveals What She Looked Like Before Surgery

Do you remember the Iranian teenager Sahar Tabar? She was the viral internet sensation of 2017. Does the name still not ring a bell? Perhaps that’s because she’s better known as the “zombie girl”, who altered her face with “plastic surgery”, makeup and photoshop in an attempt to look like Angelina Jolie – but ended up looking more like the Corpse Bride than the A-lister.

Because of how bizarre her look was, the internet went crazy as Tabar posted more and more frightening looks online. Her face appeared sunken, her nose thin and twisted, her skin looked grey and her frail body was rumored to be only 88 lbs in weight. For many, she appeared to be a startling reminder of what can happen when plastic surgery goes very, very wrong.

Tabar claimed her blue contact lenses and tiny frame were to resemble the Tomb Raider star’s lighter complexion and petite frame, but she looked so unhealthy that the internet expressed deep concern for her mental health and physical well-being – even after she’d revealed that her look was created with makeup and prosthetics and not with plastic surgery as believed.

Of course, like the many things on the internet, it all turned out to be fake and Tabar revealed that she had no intention of trying to look like Jolie. However, even after being subject to a wave of criticism for her look, the Iranian teen has shown no signs of giving it up, and she’s continuing to post unusual pictures of herself to her Instagram account.

In one photo, she’s even added a tattoo of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride to her right forearm. Is the tattoo real? It’s hard to say. While it does show up in some other photos, it’s gone in many others. Considering that not much about Tabar’s photos are real, I’m going to go with fake. Perhaps she added this creepy “inking” in the hope of being cast in an equally creepy role?

Speaking with Russian network Sputnik, Tabar claims she never wanted to look like anyone else at all. “I did not even think about being like Jolie. Also, I did not want to resemble the cartoon character the Corpse Bride,” she said.

“This is Photoshop and makeup,” Tabar continued. “Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly funny way. It is a way of expressing yourself, a kind of art. My fans know that this is not my real face.”

It seems that when people started comparing her to Angelina Jolie or the Corpse Bride, she just kind of ran with it and, well, you’ve got to give the girl credit for creating her own celebrity status from nothing more than makeup and photoshop skills.

However, since all of her face-altering tricks have been revealed, Tabar is also showing the world what her natural face looks like. In a series of side by side photos, Tabar has uploaded pictures of her looking rather normal next to her ghastly made up creations.

It turns out that while she did not have the 50 surgeries many claimed she’d had, she did have work done – namely, lip plumping and nose contouring. But it left her looking quite normal and really pretty as opposed to monstrous.

“I have had my nose operated, my lips were enlarged and I also had a liposuction. I do not see anything terrible in the operations, many people do this kind of procedures all over the planet,” Tabar said of her cosmetic surgeries.

So what does she look like now?!

Well, if you take a scroll through the more recent posts on her Instagram account, which has over 62,000 followers, you’ll find photos of her real face – pictures which will make you wonder why she puts on so much makeup in the first place.

Surprisingly, Tabar’s own dark features make her resemble Angelina Jolie, or perhaps Penelope Cruz, more than her Corpse Bride look does. So maybe she should stop trying to be someone else and show more of her real face. After all, it is quite stunning.

Tabar shows a real talent for natural makeup artistry, too, it seems, but if you want to see her completely bare-faced before surgery and without any alterations at all, she has even provided a picture of herself as a baby. Isn’t she cute?

Tabar may have gotten famous for her altered looks, but it’s her natural face that’s garnering her attention now.

It will be interesting to see what she does next if she wants to keep her name in the headlines. Perhaps a makeup tutorial or two on YouTube? Hey, it worked for Kylie Jenner – and even she’s now decided to ditch her surgically-enhanced pout.

But even if Tabar does fade into obscurity like the majority of viral internet sensations, she’s still proved an important point. Don’t believe everything to see online. Tabar’s Angelina Jolie/Corpse Bride look had the world fooled for a while there.

While she eventually admitted it was faked, now we know by exactly how much. If this naturally stunning girl can make herself look like a freaky monster woman, well, just how many other fake monsters are out there? Presumably quite a few!

Or perhaps some of the monsters are actually real and they’re just cleverly hiding behind seemingly normal masks, and costumes, and podiums. Think about it. Regardless, it sure seems easy to grab the attention of the online masses these days, doesn’t it?
