UFC Fighter Knocks Himself Out While Attempting To Bodyslam His Opponent

On Friday night, Titan FC bantamweight and flyweight champion, Jose Torres made his UFC debut and even scored a victory, but it was his opponent, Jared Brooks, who made headlines. Unfortunately, those headlines were for all the wrong reasons.

The fight took place in Utica, New York, last Friday, and Brooks was actually winning in the first two rounds. However, at the end of round two, things took a bad turn and Brooks managed to accidentally knock himself out, handing the victory to Torres.

The whole thing went down when Brooks decided to go in for a bodyslam on Torres. He picked Torres up off the mat, pulled him up against one side of the cage, and prepared for the exciting move. It was a move that was likely to greatly help the match go to Brooks, but it went terribly wrong.

Brooks performed the bodyslam and instead of Torres taking a hit, it knocked Brooks out! Somehow, Brooks knocked himself out when his own head slammed down into the mat as a result of his move. This left him open and Torres had time to get back up and begin to give Brooks a beating.
