Mom With Giant Baby Bump Experiences 1-In-55 Million Birth In Just 60 Seconds

For many couples, their family is not complete until they have children. After marrying in 2004, Jamie and Tyler Scott welcomed their first born child, a son named Shayden. Then a few years later, they were blessed with another son, Landon. However, they desperately struggled to conceive a third time.

After five years of no luck, they decided that the time had come for them to try fertility treatments in order to complete their family. This too was unsuccessful in the first round, but Jamie finally fell pregnant when they tried intra-uterine insemination and fertility drugs again.

Jamie realized that something was different about this pregnancy when, at 19 weeks pregnant with twins, her bump was so large she couldn’t walk.

It’s no secret that couples who turn to fertility treatments have a higher chance of multiple births, but nothing could have prepared the couple for the news that they were not expecting two babies, but five – a rare phenomenon known as quintuplets.

To see the one in fifty-five million birth that this resulted in, check out the video below:

“When we had the ultrasound, I was expecting to see one or two little sacs and there were four in the first 20 minutes. Then we found the fifth,” Jamie said. “I just cried. I was in awe.”

“We had tried for quite some time so it was amazing that I even was pregnant.”

Because of the sheer number of babies that Jamie was carrying, she knew that she would be unable to carry them to term. After all, she looked like she was nine months pregnant when she was only 19 weeks along. Thankfully, the babies held on for a reasonable amount of time.

“Our goal was 32-and-a-half weeks. Dr. Elliott’s goal was 34 weeks,” Jamie said. “Given that our little Logan wanted to come at 21 weeks, I am so grateful that our babies stayed put until 29 weeks. I am just amazed at how well they are all doing.”

Jamie’s miracle babies were born on March 21, 2018, between 1:27 and 1:28 a.m – yes, she delivered all five within 60 seconds!

We would like to take this opportunity to wish the Scott family all the best. Hopefully, their story will inspire others who are struggling to conceive.
