If Meghan Markle thought that she’d be able to seamlessly swap Hollywood for Buckingham Palace, she was hugely mistaken. Not only has the 36-year-old former-actress had to contend with the public’s perception of her, but also the continued efforts of her family to sabotage the entire thing.

If it wasn’t for the fact that Markle is a self-made woman with an impressive acting career behind her, you could say that her story is very similar to that of Cinderella.

Her life before fame, however, wasn’t quite a fairytale. Here are the parts Meghan would rather you forget…

Of course, we all know how that fairytale goes, in the end, Cinderella lives happily ever after with her handsome prince while her bitter step-sisters are left to wallow in their green-eyed pit of jealousy.

Clearly, nobody was read this particular fable in the Markle household. Maybe if they had, Markle’s family wouldn’t be so keen to make such a public spectacle of themselves.

Having not received invites to the society wedding of the year, the Markle family are understandably miffed. The fact that most of them haven’t spoken to the Suits star since 2011 does little to tame their rage about the snub.

But rather than get the hint, Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Jr. has decided to speak out against his blood relative. The 51-year-old from Oregon was not shy when he launched into an attack on his baby half-sister whilst speaking to The Daily Mirror.
