That being said, there are a select group of famous people we can all imagine being brilliant parents, and one of them is internationally renowned funnyman Jim Carrey. The 56-year-old has been making us laugh since he got his big break in the early nineties.

While a lot is known about Jim Carrey’s personal life, which has, unfortunately, hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons because of his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White’s suicide, one person in the actor’s life who is rarely mentioned in the media is his daughter Jane.

The 30-year-old is the only child from the actor’s eight-year marriage to Melissa Wome. Unlike her father, who was born in Canada, Jane was born in Los Angeles, California, and her main attempt to follow in his footsteps came when she participated in American Idol in 2012.

Prior to auditioning for the show, Carrey’s daughter, who grew up very much away from the spotlight, spent six years of her life working as a waitress. She is also a doting mom, having given birth to her first child, Jackson, at the age of 22.
