Relationships are hard work, especially in the modern world where you are never more than a few clicks away from a new potential bae. As a result, social media and dating apps present a host of potential problems for even the strongest of couples.
That’s why it’s important to be aware of how the dating in the digital age works, and what red flags you should be looking out for when it comes to your partner’s phone. The world’s got one too many f*ckpeople in it and you don’t want to date one of them.

Once the honeymoon phase is over, and you and your new bae have gotten comfortable with each other, you’ll delete Tinder and stop dating other people. But sometimes people can be sly and you need to be eagle-eyed enough to know when it’s happening.
Here are eight red flags that you should never ignore when it comes to your partner’s phone…
1. Their inbox is always empty
If your partner is comfortable enough to let you use your phone, but their inbox is always mysteriously empty, then it’s a glaring red flag that they have recently deleted all of their messages because there was some messages on their phone that they didn’t want you to see.
2. Your partner won’t give you their password
While I’m not condoning giving your partner giving you absolute access to everything in their life (we’ve all got the odd WhatsApp chat that we want to remain private), if your phone is dead and they won’t give you the code to borrow theirs, it’s a sign that something is up.
