10 Nov 26-Year-Old Woman Pleads Guilty To Incest After Marrying Her 44-Year-Old Mother

Human attraction is complicated. In the modern world, homosexuality is no longer frowned upon, but there are certain relationships which will always remain taboo for a number of moral and ethical reasons, and this includes incest.

Incestuous relationships are problematic because they can result in children being born with abnormalities as their parents are too genetically similar. Parent-child incest, in particular, is viewed with disdain because of how unnatural it is.

Whilst sexual relationships between parents and their children typically fall into the categories of rape and pedophilia, there are some rare instances where a parent and their child consent to a relationship.

This usually happens when the child has not been brought up by their biological parent, and now has emerged that a 26-year-old woman married her 44-year-old mother after they were reunited in 2014 in adults.

Rare circumstances like this, which can also occur with brothers and sisters, are the result of a biological phenomenon known as Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA) that desensitizes people to sexual attraction between their relatives.

Misty Velvet Dawn Spann was raised by her grandmother who legally adopted her and her brother after her mother, Patricia Ann Spann, lost custody of them as children. It is not known why this happened.

The mother and daughter reportedly “hit it off” when they reconnected in 2014 and began a relationship.
