23 Most Phenomenal Photos From National Geographic Traveller Contest’s Nature Category

National Geographic consistently puts out some of the most stunning and all-round fascinating work from the world’s best photographers. Even their Instagram account puts out first class material. So when they run contests for the best photos of the year, you know they are going to be good.

2017’s National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year Contest was closed to submissions at the end of June, and its winners will be announced at the end of the summer. The grand prize is a 10-day trip to the Galapagos Archipelago, a location perfect for vacationing and photography. But until we find out who wins this prize, we’ve been treated to Nat Geo’s editors’ favourites from the bunch, so the wait until the final announcement will go down easy.
