We’ve all been there. It’s 3:16am and you drunkenly stumble through your front door, inevitably pushing it too hard and causing it to slam back against the wall. You wake up your roommates, neighbors and anyone within a 500 yard radius of where you are and they’re angry. You immediately start undressing because patience is a virtue that you lost 4 drinks ago. First stop: the fridge. This is when things get either gross or dangerous (or a combination of the two).

The first option is the pathetically easy snack, usually a combination of two things that really should not go together, like pretzels and icing or pickles and potato chips. The second option is something a bit more dangerous, like pasta (which requires water to be boiled) or a grilled cheese (which requires a hot skillet). Once you have spent what felt like hours creating your culinary masterpiece (it ends up being a frozen pizza that you topped with extra cheese), you annihilate it all in one gulp. With your hunger behind you, you are the most dangerous person in the world. No immediate needs or tasks, you are left alone and drunk in your kitchen, wondering what you’ll do next.

If you’re smart, you’ll drink 5 glasses of water, set an alarm, put on your pajamas, and go to sleep. The cruel reality of our world, however, is that almost none of us are smart.
