Yesterday, most of the United States watched in awe as they witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime event. The 2017 solar eclipse was watched by millions, and most of them decided to follow the appropriate safety advice from NASA. We all know not to look directly at an eclipse, but just incase you missed it, here’s what NASA had to say on their website;
“Stand still and cover your eyes with your eclipse glasses or solar viewer before looking up at the bright sun. After looking at the sun, turn away and remove your filter — do not remove it while looking at the sun.”
Can someone tell me why then, President Trump decided to remove his glasses, and grimace at the sun? I mean, forget Kim Jong-un and the constant threat of a third war – even Melania can’t believe how stupid he was!
We all saw the warnings leading up to yesterday’s epic event, and as Dr Ralph Chou from Fox News said, “there’s never a safe time to look straight-on at the sun.”
But thankfully, many of our four-legged friends followed the important advice, and donned some trendy shades to witness Monday’s eclipse. Social media blew up, as dog owners were keen to share their hilarious snaps of their pooches taking the full precautions during the celestial celebration. And boy, are we thankful for it!
