After founding Playboy at the age of 27, Hefner lived a life that most of us could only dream of. He spent his days surrounded by beautiful women and had the means to live in a lavish mansion full of staff who attended to his every need.

1. Hefner was a virgin when he first married

A little-known fact about the Playboy icon was that he was a virgin when he first got married at the age of 22. But the marriage was doomed from the outset when Mildred revealed that she’d had an affair before they married whilst Hefner served in the army.

2. He dated twins

It’s a fantasy that’s usually only depicted in porn, but Hefner dated multiple sets of twins. The last twins he dated were Kristina and Karissa Shannon, who were just eighteen years old when they moved into the Playboy mansion in 2008.

3. He had seven girlfriends at once

At his Playboy peak, Hefner dated a staggering seven women at once, and they all lived together in his mansion. He even gave them a $1,000 a week allowance to spend on clothes. However, he eventually decided to downsize to just three girlfriends.

4. Group sex was always on the menu

Needless to say, with more than one girlfriend group sex was always on the menu in the Playboy Mansion. Hefner’s girlfriends would reportedly take turns having sex with him before he finished himself off by watching porn on a giant TV.
