25 Jun 10 Heinous and Gross Confessions Made by an Optometrist
Visiting the optometrist is an extremely important part of living a healthy life, but it is also probably quite likely that you do not visit for check-up appointments as regularly as you should.
Moreover, optometrists are rather mysterious figures, speaking personally, I’m not sure I have ever met one outside of the confines of their practice; they are, for example, far less conspicuous than dentists and doctors, and have something of a romantic air of mystery surrounding them.
Perhaps due to the irregularity with which many attend the optometrist, no one seems quite sure of how to conduct themselves when they get there; seemingly simple instructions are misunderstood and it must be an exasperating experience for the poor soul trying to examine us. In fact, it is, and there’s so much more to learn, too, because here are some of the most candid and – at times – gross confessions made by an optometrist.
1. Sometimes, the smells are really, really bad, and they have to get real close
2. Crab Lice can find their way into eyelashes. Seriously.
3. They get concerned when people don’t keep their check up appointments
4. People genuinely turn up to contact lens check appointments in glasses
5. “One, or two?” gets boring and annoying almost instantly
